Healthy relationships make us feel good.


Everyone has the right to feel safe in their relationships.


No relationship is perfect.


We all disagree from time to time.

In a respectful relationship, green flags include:


  • Feeling safe
  • Having fun together
  • Feeling relaxed
  • Free to spend time with other people
  • Having your own hobbies
  • Making individual decisions
  • Respecting each other’s identities, values and opinions
  • Saying ‘no’ to each other
  • Good communication
  • Compromising
  • Negotiating


Unhealthy Relationships

Not all unhealthy relationships are abusive.


However, all abusive relationships can be considered unhealthy.


Make you feel:

  • unsupported,
  • misunderstood,
  • scared,
  • demeaned, or
  • attacked.

Domestic and family violence can happen to anyone, including in teen relationships.
